Taylor Automotive Family

Taylor Automotive Family is a Toledo, Ohio car dealership group that owns and operates seven new-vehicle dealerships and a collision center. The dealerships are Taylor Cadillac, Taylor Hyundai of Toledo, Taylor Hyundai of Perrysburg, Taylor Hyundai of Findlay, Taylor Kia of Toledo, Taylor Kia of Findlay and Taylor Kia of Lima, across Toledo, Perrysburg, Findlay and Lima, selling and servicing Cadillac, Hyundai and Kia vehicles along with used vehicles. Founded in 1979 by Stephen D. Taylor, the group grew from a single dealership in downtown Toledo. On June 19, 2026 the company announced it had become 100 percent employee-owned through a new employee stock ownership plan, and its advisor published its own announcement of the completed transaction on July 1, 2026. Lazear Capital Partners was the exclusive financial advisor and Toledo law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick provided legal counsel; the trustee, any lender and the transaction terms were not disclosed. The company states the plan covers more than 340 employee-owners, and its leadership team, including president Stephen D. Taylor II and chief executive officer and general counsel Peter Demczuk, continues to run day-to-day operations.
