Policy Director, Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell
Caroline Torosis is a government affairs attorney and policy advisor who works for Los Angeles County to protect consumer rights and promote a fair and vibrant marketplace. Caroline is a publicly elected Councilmember for the City of Santa Monica. As a certified mediator, she has personally mediated hundreds of cases, successfully helping parties reach an amicable resolution in pending litigation.
Caroline currently works to promote the economic and social well being of County residents by putting forth local policy surrounding economic development and affordable housing. Additionally, Caroline has worked on minimum wage enforcement, financial literacy and small business development, Prior to working for the County, Caroline worked in employment litigation. She has also represented juvenile offenders in juvenile delinquency proceedings.
Within Los Angeles County, Caroline is a member of the Women’s Leadership Council, and was also appointed to the Executive Committee of the Quality and Productivity Managers Network, working to promote transparent and efficient government by leveraging technology and interdepartmental innovation to deliver better service to LA County residents.
Caroline is an active alumna of UCLA. She is the Chair of the West Los Angeles Chancellor's Society, immediate past Chair of the UCLA Young Alumni Development Council and works to engage alums back to UCLA. She is also a board member of UCLA Women in Philanthropy, which encourages a spirit of giving in other women in the UCLA community.
