Democratizing Wealth Through Employee Ownership
Driving the growth of employee ownership through innovative programs and advocacy. Led initiatives at Evergreen Cooperatives and the Colorado Employee Ownership Office, including managing a premier EO program and contributing to impactful legislation. Studied governance, finance, and policy at UC Davis.
Matthew Licina is the Technical Content Manager at the NCEO, where he designs impactful educational resources for employee owners. Prior to joining NCEO, he directed all employee ownership tax credit programs for the state of Colorado, and contributed to key EO legislation. He brings creative, critical thinking and a passion for employee ownership, honed through work with Evergreen Cooperatives and other community economic development organizations. Matthew holds degrees from the University of California, Davis, and the Culinary Institute of America. When not at work, he pursues rock climbing and backcountry skiing in Colorado.
